The Oasis split seems to have turned Liam Gallagher into a new man.
The star was detained by immigration officials at JFK Airport in New York yesterday, after forgetting to fill out a form that grants him entry into the country.
But rather than blow his top at being kept in a secure area for 20 minutes, Liam - in the Big Apple to promote his Pretty Green clothing line - was the epitome of politeness.
A source said: "He was perfectly behaved.
"There wasn't any ranting or raving or the attitude you'd normally associate with him.
"He was very polite and apologetic - even signing autographs for staff."
And it seems Liam's newly found chilled-out attitude was the same throughout the seven-hour flight.
A fellow passenger revealed: "He drank water, ate cheese and biscuits, watched black and white 60s movies and Michael Jackson. But he got bored of that and switched over.
"It's not very rock and roll is it!"
We await reports of Liam ordering milk and cookies from room service.

I have actually have a new found respect for Liam during the last few monts. In all the interviews we've seen he seems really down to earh and mellow.
At first after the oasis split, I blamed it all on him, and was sure the pretty green stuff and his new band would suck and disappear within one or two years.
Now, i'm saving up for some PG clothes, and cant wait to hear the single thats maybe coming out in october. Go Liam! He just seems more relaxed and fun than he's done the last few years.
Not saying i'm not looking forward to anything Noel's doing. Can't wait to hear some of the Teenage Cancer Trust stuff. And hopefully some new material or at least more acoustic olden goldies.
